Custom date time format on MATE panel


Install dconf-editor


Go to:

 /org/mate/panel/objects/clock/prefs


Change values:


NAME                            VALUE
custom-format               %Y-%m-%d  %A <b>%H:%M</b>
format                           custom

    That was really helpful and right to the point. It worked without a problem on a Ubuntu Mate 15.10 install.
